Moreover it gives the consumers a new experience to make searching for nearby businesses on their Windows Mobile phone faster, safer and easier than ever. This option will assist to discover local businesses when you are away from your computer or laptop and to help confirm addresses when you are outside of your home.
Earlier Google.com mobile handset browser search results were tailored to the last location entered by the cell user but now Google Gears Geolocation API, Search with My Location approximates actual global location via the same Cell ID technology used by Google maps and returns businesses for that region for mobile such as if you are looking for a better Chinese Restaurant in your locality, just type ‘Chinese Restaurant’ into the search field and get a directory of Chinese Restaurant around your locality. But the new application is designed such a way in order that it does not associate one’s location with any personally identifiable information in an effort to maintain user privacy and safety, even if any one is logged in. User location dose not sent until he or she explicitly opt in or out from the Gears Settings under the Tools menu.
